Bugatti-Autos waren für ihre Design-Schönheit bekannt und für ihre vielen Rennsiege. Berühmte Bugattis sind die Typ 35 Grand Prix Autos, der Typ 41 "Royale", der Typ 57 "Atlantic" und der Sportwagen Typ 55. Der Tod von Ettore Bugatti im Jahr 1947 erwies sich als das Ende für die Marke, und der Tod seines Sohnes Jean Bugatti im Jahr 1939 sichergestellt, dass es keinen Nachfolger, um die Fabrik zu führen. Nicht mehr als etwa 8000 Autos wurden gemacht.
