WAS BEDEUTET COMMODITISE AUF ENGLISCH

Commodification ist die Umwandlung von Waren und Dienstleistungen, sowie Ideen oder andere Entitäten, die normalerweise nicht als Waren betrachtet werden können, in eine Ware. Das marxistische Verständnis der Ware unterscheidet sich von der Bedeutung der Ware in der Mainstream-Geschäftstheorie. Ein Weg, um den Unterschied zusammenzufassen, ist, dass die Komödie über proprietäre Dinge geht, die generisch werden, während die Kommodifizierung über unsalable Dinge geht, die verkaufsfähig werden. Commodity spielte eine Schlüsselrolle in der Arbeit von Marx, er hielt es für eine Zellform des Kapitalismus und ein wichtiger Ausgangspunkt für eine Analyse dieses politisch-ökonomischen Systems. Die früheste Verwendung des Wortes "commodification" in englisch, das in dem Oxford English Dictionary datiert ist, stammt aus dem Jahr 1975. Die Verwendung des Begriffs der Kommodifizierung wurde mit dem Aufstieg der kritischen Diskursanalyse in der Semiotik bekannt.
