Korinth
Korinth (Griechisch Κόρινθος, Kórinthos, ausgesprochen (hören)) ist eine Stadt und ehemalige Gemeinde in Korinthien, Peloponnes, Griechenland. Seit der Regierungsreform 2011 ist es Teil der Gemeinde Korinth, von der es der Sitz und eine kommunale Einheit ist. Es ist die Hauptstadt von Korinthien. Es wurde als Nea Korinthos oder Neuer Korinth im Jahre 1858 gegründet, nachdem ein Erdbeben die bestehende Siedlung von Korinth zerstört hatte, die sich in und um den Ort des alten Korinth entwickelt hatte.
