Groupoid
In der Mathematik, vor allem in der Kategorie Theorie und Homotopie Theorie, ein Gruppoid verallgemeinert den Begriff der Gruppe in mehreren gleichwertigen Möglichkeiten. Ein Gruppenoid ist zu sehen als: ▪ Gruppe mit einer Teilfunktion, die den Binärbetrieb ersetzt; ▪ Kategorie, in der jeder Morphismus invertierbar ist. Eine Kategorie dieser Art kann man mit einer unartigen Operation ansehen, die analog zur Gruppentheorie umgekehrt heißt. ▪ Orientierte Grafik Spezielle Fälle sind: ▪ Setoids, dh: Sätze, die mit einer Äquivalenzrelation kommen; ▪ G-Sets, Sets, die mit einer Aktion einer Gruppe G ausgestattet sind. Gruppoide werden oft verwendet, um über geometrische Objekte wie Mannigfaltigkeiten zu begründen. Heinrich Brandt führte Groupoide implizit über Brandt-Semigruppen ein.
