Wiederkäuer
Wiederkäuer sind Säugetiere, die in der Lage sind, Nährstoffe aus pflanzlichen Lebensmitteln zu erwerben, indem sie sie in einem spezialisierten Magen vor der Verdauung, hauptsächlich durch bakterielle Handlungen, fermentieren. Der Prozeß erfordert typischerweise das Aufstoßen von fermentiertem Ingesta und kaut es wieder. Der Prozess der Wiederaufladung der cud, um weiter zu brechen Pflanzenmaterie und stimulieren die Verdauung heißt "Rumination". Das Wort "Wiederkäuer" kommt aus dem lateinischen Ruminare, was bedeutet, "wieder zu kauen". Es gibt etwa 150 Arten von Wiederkäuern, die sowohl häusliche als auch wilde Arten einschließen. Ruminating Säugetiere gehören Rinder, Ziegen, Schafe, Giraffen, Yaks, Hirsche, Kamele, Lamas, Antilopen und einige Makropoden. Taxonomisch ist die Unterordnung Ruminantia eine Abstammung von pflanzenfressenden Artiodactylas, die die fortschrittlichsten und weit verbreiteten der unglücklichen Frauen enthält. Der Begriff "Wiederkäuer" ist nicht gleichbedeutend mit Ruminantia. Unterordnung Ruminantia enthält viele Wiederkäuerarten, enthält aber keine Tylopoden und Beuteltiere, die technisch Wiederkäuer sind.
