gallstone

Gallenstein

A gallstone is a solid, crystallized defect of the bile. Bile stones are produced by an imbalance of soluble substances in the bile. In general, the presence of a biliary stone is referred to as gallstone affections or cholelithiasis. If the gall-stone is found in the gall-bladder, it is called a gall-bladder; If he finds himself in the bile duct, it is called a bile duct stone. Bile stones are frequent and often cause no discomfort. When bile stones become blocked and the flow of the bile is hindered, however, violent colic and inflammation can occur. The gall bladder is related to bile stones.
