Prunus is a genus from the rose family. In the system, it is the only genus in the tribe Amygdaleae. Prunus comprises more than 200 species of trees and shrubs, including many important fruit-producing breeding forms. Prunus ist eine Gattung aus der Familie der Rosengewächse. In der Systematik stellt sie die einzige Gattung in der Tribus Amygdaleae dar. Prunus umfasst mehr als 200 Arten von Bäumen und Sträuchern, darunter viele wichtige obstliefernde Zuchtformen.
