Cogon, Tagbilaran

Barangay Cogon is one of the biggest barangays in the city of Tagbilaran, in the province of Bohol, Philippines. Located centrally in the city, Cogon overlooks Tagbilaran Bay to the west, to the south, it is bounded by Poblacion 2, to the east by Barangay Dampas and Dao and to the north by Barangay Booy. It has a plain and rolling land terrain. The highest point of elevation is only 180 feet above sea level. The total land area is 204.4508 hectares, with a population in 2007 of 17,266, the most in the city. It is generally believed that more than one-half of its present population are no longer native Cogonhanons.
