WHAT DOES CROWDFUNDING MEAN IN ENGLISH?

crowdfunding

Crowdfunding

Crowdfunding is the collection of finance from backers—the "crowd"—to fund an initiative and usually occurs on Internet platforms. The initiative could be a nonprofit, political, charitable, commercial or financing campaign for a startup company. One crowdfunding expert described it as “the practice of raising funds from two or more people over the internet towards a common Service, Project, Product, Investment, Cause, and Experience or SPPICE.” Crowdfunding models involve a variety of participants. They include the people or organizations that propose the ideas and/or projects to be funded, and the crowd of people who support the proposals. Crowdfunding is then supported by an organization which brings together the project initiator and the crowd.

Definition of crowdfunding in the English dictionary

The definition of crowdfunding in the dictionary is the funding of a project by a large number of supporters who each contribute a small amount.
