WHAT DOES HYLICISM MEAN IN ENGLISH?

hylicism

Materialism

In philosophy, the theory of materialism holds that matter is the fundamental substance in nature, and that all emergent phenomena are the result of material interactions. In other words, the theory claims that our reality consists entirely of physical matter that is the sole cause of every possible occurrence, including human thought, feeling, and action. Materialism is typically considered to be closely related to, or synonymous with, physicalism. Contrasting philosophies include idealism and other forms of monism, dualism, and pluralism.

Definition of hylicism in the English dictionary

The first definition of hylicism in the dictionary is the philosophy that the only thing that can be proven to exist is matter and that everything, including consciousness, is as a result of interaction with material things. Also called materialism. Other definition of hylicism is the doctrine concerning the three lowest Gnostic orders of humans which are concerned with the material. Hylicism is also the theory that matter is the principle of evil.
