In the immediate neighbourhood of the junction the laurvikite has frequently been
so broken up as to constitute a true breccia. Lenses of laurvikite measuring from
a half to one metre across, sometimes smaller, however, and sometimes much ...

The rock thus resembles the augite-syenite, called laurvikite by Brogger1, but it
contains so much more hornblende that Williams decided to give it a new name,
pulaskite. Analyses of the rock and its feldspar follow : SiO2 Al.O, Fefi, FeO CaO ...

These were followed by a series of syenites: laurvikite, mics.syenite, and
nephelite-syenite, laurdalite. The laurvikite, or augite-syem'te, occupies a large
area and has marginal facies that are porphyritic and grade into
rhombenporphyry.
Laurvikite, with agmatic breccia and xenoliths. From the lookout, observe the
Little Pic River which follows a major north-south lineament. Two kinds of narrow
oblique dykesi are cutting this zone: a dark basaltic variety, and a porphyritic
variety.
