WHAT DOES SHORT-CIRCUIT MEAN IN ENGLISH?

short-circuit

Short circuit

A short circuit is an electrical circuit that allows a current to travel along an unintended path, often where essentially no electrical impedance is encountered. The electrical opposite of a short circuit is an "open circuit", which is an infinite resistance between two nodes. It is common to misuse "short circuit" to describe any electrical malfunction, regardless of the actual problem.

Definition of short-circuit in the English dictionary

The definition of short-circuit in the dictionary is a faulty or accidental connection between two points of different potential in an electric circuit, bypassing the load and establishing a path of low resistance through which an excessive current can flow. It can cause damage to the components if the circuit is not protected by a fuse.
