Pharmacology and Mode of Action Sulphadoxine is a long-acting sulphonamide.
It is used in combination with pyrimethamine against malaria. Sulphadoxine
blocks the synthesis of folk acid by competing with /wra-aminobenzoic acid (
PABA).
