WHAT DOES WET-BULB THERMOMETER MEAN IN ENGLISH?

wet-bulb thermometer

Wet-bulb temperature

The wet-bulb temperature is the temperature a parcel of air would have if it were cooled to saturation by the evaporation of water into it, with the latent heat being supplied by the parcel. A wet-bulb thermometer indicates a temperature close to the true temperature. The wet-bulb temperature is the lowest temperature that can be reached under current ambient conditions by the evaporation of water only; it is the temperature felt when the skin is wet and exposed to moving air. Wet-bulb temperature is largely determined by both actual air temperature and the amount of moisture in the air.

Definition of wet-bulb thermometer in the English dictionary

The definition of wet-bulb thermometer in the dictionary is a thermometer the bulb of which is covered by a moist muslin bag, used together with a dry-bulb thermometer to measure humidity.
