Chroco or Croco, also known as Croc, Kroko, Crosco was a tribal chieftain of the late III century. In the year 260 he led a raid by the Alamanites against the Roman Empire, crossing the upper Germanic limes and reaching as far as the town of Augustonemetum, and possibly Ravenna. It is also possible that he was present in the alamana conquest of the free city of Mende. According to the History of the Franks of Gregory of Tours, Chrocco was a king famous in his time, and responsible for great destruction in the lands of Gaul, although his claim that destroyed all the old Gaulish temples is possibly exaggerated. One of the temples that supposedly destroyed was called Vasso Galatæ, a building that was elevated in Clermont. There are many legendary stories about Chroco and although some claim that he died in the 260 incursion there are other stories that claim to survive as late as 403, although it may be several individuals with the same name.

En el año 260 dirigió una incursión de los alamanes contra el Imperio romano atravesando el limes Germánico Superior y llegando tan lejos como hasta la población de Augustonemetum, y posiblemente a Rávena. También es posible que estuviera presente en la conquista alamana de la ciudad franca de Mende. Según la Historia de los Francos de Gregorio de Tours, Chroco fue un rey famoso en su época, y responsable de gran destrucción en las tierras de las Galias, aunque su afirmación de que destruyó todos los antiguos templos galos posiblemente sea exagerada. Uno de los templos que supuestamente destruyó fue el llamado Vasso Galatæ, un edificio que se alzaba en Clermont. Existen muchos relatos legendarios sobre Chroco y aunque algunos afirman que murió en la incursión de 260 existen otros relatos que afirman que sobrevivía hasta una fecha tan posterior como 403, aunque puede que se trate de varios individuos con el mismo nombre.
