World population

Población mundial

The world's human population is the total number of people living around the world at any given time. The world population is determined by the birth and death of individuals, as well as by their life expectancy. The world population has risen from almost 1000 million in the year 1800 to more than 6000 million in the year 2000, and on October 30, 2011 reached 7 billion. The UN estimates roughly estimated that by October 30, 2011, the planet would reach 7 billion people. Then, the UN decided that it would symbolically reward the baby born before the end of that day in Asia, and specifically in the Philippines. This award was given to Danica-Mae Camacho, who was born at 23:58 h in Manila. According to UN estimates in 2008, every minute is born between 323 and 358 babies worldwide. That is, after the birth of that Filipino baby were born more than 600 babies in the rest of the world who could be awarded the same prize.

habitante
habitante
  citizen ; denizen ; inhabitant ; resident ; burgess ; dweller ; habitant.
This paper reports a conference on present and future possibilities for interstate cooperation in the effective delivery of community information to citizens.
The denizens of each of these worlds have a wide variety of information needs and a wide variety of economic, social, political, and educational backgrounds.
The conference debated a library bill which aims to set up public libraries in all municipalities with over 30,000 inhabitants.
Since they were operated as part of the local authority, they achieved little credibility with residents.
They claimed that they and all of their ancestors as burgesses had held a market on these days from time out of mind, without interruption.
Most of the research and interest in leaves as habitats for bacteria have focused on the nature of the leaf surface and its dwellers.

Because of the rigidity described earlier the library was not able to respond to the survival and safety/security needs of those who were urban dwellers in the mid twentieth century.
The author discusses his study on 'The Development of Strategies for Dealing with the Information Needs of Urban Residents'.
The rural communities are equally enthusiastic in obtaining information for their daily lives, as are urbanites in facing challenges of the modern world.
