Institución

Institutions are mechanisms of a social and cooperative nature, which seek to order and normalize the behavior of a group of individuals. Institutions transcend individual wills, by identifying with the imposition of a purpose considered as a social good, that is, "normal" for that group. Its operating mechanism varies widely in each case, although the development of many rules or standards that are usually not flexible and adaptable. The term "institution", etymologically, shares root with instruction, instructor, governess and institute. Many institutions are formally established organizations, although others are not; They do not even have to correspond to a physical place, extending to the norms of conduct and customs considered important for a society, such as the particular formal organizations of government and public service, or even contingent social facts, or to the esteem felt by A person worthy of special respect and consideration.
