Temperament is the peculiarity and individual intensity of psychic affections and of the dominant structure of humor and motivation. The term comes from the Latin temperamentum: 'measure'. It is the natural way a human interacts with the environment. It can be hereditary and not influenced by external factors; Is the instinctive-affective layer of personality, upon which intelligence and will will shape character; It also occupies the ability to adapt, mood, intensity, level of activity, accessibility, and regularity; Temperament is the general nature of an individual's personality, based on the characteristics of the type of nervous system. El temperamento está relacionado con la influencia endocrina. El temperamento y el carácter definen la personalidad del ser humano; y la diferente combinación e intensidad que éstos se manifiesten en sus diferentes áreas, nos hacen únicos y humanos. Los temperamentos o el temperamento es el rasgo descriptivo del estilo de actuar que nos distingue de los demás como únicos e irreemplazables, de modo que podamos armonizar con ellos.
