घोटा संज्ञा पुं० [हिं० घोटना ]
१. वह वस्तु जिससे घोटने का काम
किया जाय । २. रँगरेजों का एक औजार जिसे वे रँगे हुए
कपडों पर चमक लाने के लिये रगडते हैं । दुवाली । मोहरा ।
३. घुटा हुआ चमकीला कपडा । ४. भाँग घोटने का सोंटा या
डंडा । ५. बाँस का वह चोंगा जिससे घोडों, बैलों आदि पशुओं
को नमक, तेल या ओर कोई औषध पिलाई जाती है । ६. नग
जडियों का एक औजार जिससे वे डाँक को चमकीला बनाते हैं ।
विशेष—इस औजार में बाँस की नली में लाखदेकर गोरा पत्थर
का एक टूकडा जिपकाया रहता है । इसी से जाँक को रगडकर चमकदार करते हैं ।
