विशेष—साधरणतः स्त्रियों का नृत्य ही लास्य कहलाता है । कहते
है, शिव और पर्वती ने पहले पहल मिलकर नृत्य किया था ।
शिव का नृत्य तांडव कहलाया और पार्वती का 'लास्य' । यह
लास्य दो प्रकार का कहा गया है—छुरित और यौवत ।
साहित्यदर्पण में इसके दस अंग बतलाए गए हैं, जिनके नाम इस
प्रकार हैं—गेयपद, स्थितपाठ, आसीन, पुष्पगंडिका, प्रच्छेदक,
त्रिगूढ़, सैंधबाख्य, द्विगूढ़क, उत्तमीत्तमक और युक्तप्रयुक्त ।
