करने के लिये कहना । जैसे,—हम तो ईश्वर से दिन रात यही
माँगते है कि आप निरोग हों । उ०—माँगत तुलसिदास
कर जोरे । बसहिं राससिय मानस मोरे ।—तुलसी (शब्द०) ।
मुहा०—माँग जाँचकर = इधर उधर से माँगकर । लोगों से
लेकर । माँग तोँ कर = दे० 'माँग जाँचकर' । माँग बुलाना =
किसी के द्वार किसी को अपने पास बुलवाना ।
