प्रकार का बढ़िया पीला गोंद जिसे रूमी मस्तगी भी कहते हैं ।
विशेष—यह गोंद भूमध्य सागर के आसपास के प्रदेशों में
होनेवाली एक प्रकार की सदाबहार झाड़ी के तनों को पाछकर
निकाला जाता है, और जो अपने उत्पत्तिस्थान 'रूम' के
कारण प्रायः 'रूमी मस्तगी' कहलाता है । यह गोंद वार्निश
में मिलाया जाता है और औषधि रूप में भी काम आता है ।
दाँतों के अनेक रोगों में यह बहुत उपकारी होता है । इससे
दाँतों का हिलना, पीड़ा, दुर्गंधि आदि दूर होती है । और भी
कई रोगों में इसका व्यवहार किया जाता है ।
