Ramnami Noun Poon [HI-0 RAM + Name + E (prefix 0)] 1. १. वह चादर,
दुपट्टा या धोती आदि जिसपर 'राम राम' छपा रहता है और
जिसका व्यवहार राम के भक्त लोग इसलिये करेत हैं जिसमें
राम का नाम हरदम आँखों के सामने रहे ।
विशोष—इसी प्रकार कुछ कपड़ों पर कृष्ण या शिव का नाम भी
छपा रहता है ।
२. गले में पहनने का एक प्रकार का हार जो प्रायः सोने का
होता है ।
विशेष—इसमें छोटे छोटे कई टिकड़े या पान आदि होते हैं, जो
आपस में एक दूसरे के साथ जंजीर के कई छोटे छोटे टुकड़ों या
लड़ों से जड़े होते हैं । इसके बीच में प्रायः एक पान होता है,
जिसमें 'राम' शब्द, किसी देवता की मूर्ति अथवा चरणाचिह्न
अंकित होता और जो पहनने पर छाती पर लटकता रहता है ।
इसी के कारण इसे राममानी कहते हैं ।
