जाते हैं या उनके पार्श्व में बैठकर कोई छेड़ता जाता है ।
विशेष— यह गवैयों को सुर बाँधने में बड़ा सहारा देता है;
अर्थात् सुर में जहाँ विराम पड़ता है, वहाँ यह उसे पूरा करता है । इसमें चार तार होते हैं दो लोहे के और दो पीतल के ।
