Amlapura (also written as Amlapura) is the prefectural office of Bali State and Karangasum Province in Indonesia. There was the capital of Karangasumu, called Karangasumu, but in 1963 Mount Agung was erupted and damaged and altered to be Alamapura. Because the karangasum kingdom has returned to the Netherlands early, the city and culture are never destroyed, and the Netherlands and the royal palace culture merge onto the old culture. The town is small, but it is a hub of commercial and transportation in eastern Bali.
