Ennangaun 【Yenangyaung】 Myanmar central town. It is located along the Irrawaddy River Midstream. Oilfields were discovered in the middle of the 18th century, once known as one of Asia's leading oil producing areas. During the Second World War, the Japanese army occupied, later British Indian troops recaptured. After independence, a state-owned company continued mining, but with the depletion of reserves, it yielded that seat to other oil fields. Yenangjaen. エナンジャウン【Yenangyaung】 ミャンマー中部の町。イラワジ川中流沿いに位置する。18世紀半ばに油田が発見され、かつてアジア有数の産油地として知られた。第二次大戦中、日本軍が占領し、のちに英国インド軍が奪回。同国独立後は国有会社が採掘を続けたが、埋蔵量の枯渇に伴い、他の油田にその座を譲った。イェナンジャウン。
