Esturoy Toru [Esturoi Island] "Eysturoy" Island of the Danish Faroe Islands floating on the northern Atlantic Ocean. It is the second largest in the islands. It is connected to the main island Streymoy in the west with a bridge across the Sundini Strait, and in 2006 the underwater tunnel opened with Borwois Island on the east side. The major towns include Lunavike in the south, Fjordjörsul in the north and Railbeek in the east. The remains of the viking residence around the 10th century remains. エストゥロイ‐とう【エストゥロイ島】 《Eysturoy》北部大西洋上に浮かぶデンマーク領フェロー諸島の島。同諸島中で2番目に大きい。西側の主島ストレイモイ島とはスンディニ海峡を隔てて橋で結ばれ、2006年には東側のボルウォイ島との間に海中トンネルが開通した。主な町に南部のルナビーク、北部のフグラフィヨルズル、東部のレイルビークなどがある。10世紀頃のバイキングの住居跡が残る。
