Baeza - A city in southern Spain, in the Andalusian region. It entered under the rule of Islam in the 8th century, but it became Christian rule again in the 13th century Reconquista. In the 16th century, the town was built with the Italian Renaissance by the architect Andrés de Banderbila. In 2003, it was registered as a World Heritage (Cultural Heritage) as the "Ubeda and Baeza's Renaissance style monumental building group" with the adjacent city Ubeda.
