Lake Burley Griffin "Lake Burley Griffin" An artificial lake in the center of Australian capital Canberra. It was built in 1964 to stop the Morongro River. The name comes from American architect Walter-Barrie-Griffin who designed the planned city Canberra. Captain Cook Memorial fountain which blows up to about 150 meters in height, and the capital exhibition hall which introduces the development of the city. バーリーグリフィン‐こ【バーリーグリフィン湖】 《Lake Burley Griffin》オーストラリアの首都キャンベラの中心部にある人工湖。1964年にモロングロ川をせき止めて造られた。名称は計画都市キャンベラを設計した米国の建築家ウォルター=バーリー=グリフィンに由来する。高さ約150メートルまで吹き上がるキャプテンクック記念噴水、都市の発展の様子を紹介する首都展示館などがある。
