Palmela Palace [Palmera Castle] "Castelo de Palmela" A castle in the Palmera town of southeastern Portugal. It was a strategic point located between the Taejo River and the Third River, so the fierce fight between Muslims and Christians was repeated. Afonso Henriques (later Afonso I of Portugal later) was recaptured in the 12th century. The headquarters of the Order was put in the 15th century, and it was expanded and renovated until around the 18th century. パルメラ‐じょう【パルメラ城】 《Castelo de Palmela》ポルトガル南西部の町パルメラにある城。テジョ川とサード川の間に位置する戦略上の要地だったため、イスラム教徒とキリスト教徒の間で激戦が繰り返された。12世紀にアフォンソ=エンリケス(後のポルトガル王アフォンソ1世)が奪還。15世紀に騎士団の本拠が置かれ、18世紀頃まで増改築された。
