Pythagorion [Pythagoreio / Πυθαγόρειο] A port town in the eastern part of Greece, Aegean south, eastern Samos of the Dodecanes national islands. Formerly Tigani. Known as a mathematician Pythagoras fabric, it was renamed to current name in 1955. Prosperity under the politician Polyresort centered around the 6th century BC. There are ruins of an underground water conduit (Epalinos tunnel) over 1 kilometer in length and a giant Hera temple of Ionian style. In 1992, it was registered as a World Heritage (cultural heritage) under the name of "Pythagorion and Hera Temple of Samos". Pythagorio.
