Kabu is the city of Zambia. The former name until 1967 was Broken Hill. It is the capital of Central Province. In 2000, the population was 177,000. It is located almost in the middle of Zambia, 130 km north from the capital Lusaka, 60 km south from Kapili Muposi. It is a mining city with a large mine producing zinc and lead, silver, manganese, cadmium, titanium and others.
