Gaillard 【Gaillard Castle】 "Ch \u0026 # x00E2; teau Gaillard" Northern France, Normandy region, castle in Lesundry town of Wool prefecture. On the hill of the city overlooking the Seine, in the 12th century King Richard I of King England (Lion King) built for Rouen's defense. Early in the 13th century, it fell to Philip II of King Frép, and it remains ruined. ガイヤール‐じょう【ガイヤール城】 《Château Gaillard》フランス北部、ノルマンディー地方、ウール県の町レザンドリーにある城。セーヌ川を見下ろす町の高台に、12世紀にイングランド王リチャード1世(獅子心王)がルーアンの防御を目的として建造。13世紀初頭、フランス王フィリップ2世に陥落され、廃墟のままになっている。
