Carmelite Church "Carmelite Church" Carmelite Church 's church in Valletta, the capital of the Republic of Malta, an island country in the middle of the Mediterranean. Constructed by Jero Ramo-Kasar, a design engineer of the Malta Order who worked on the design of St. John's Cathedral in the late 16th century. It has a huge cupola (vaulted ceiling) with a height of 62 meters. It was greatly damaged in the Second World War, but it was rebuilt after the war. カーマライト‐きょうかい【カーマライト教会】 《Carmelite Church》地中海中央部の島国、マルタ共和国の首都バレッタにあるカルメル会の教会。16世紀後半に聖ヨハネ大聖堂の設計を手掛けたマルタ騎士団の設計技師ジェローラモ=カサールにより建造。高さ62メートルの巨大なクーポラ(丸天井)をもつ。第二次大戦で大きな被害を受けたが、戦後に再建された。
