Boshin \u0026 thinsp; (boshin) \u0026 thinsp; in the first Meiji era (1868); in the war, Echigo (Niigata Prefecture) Nagaoka clan bothered the government with this gun. ガトリング‐じゅう【ガトリング銃】 米国人ガトリング(R.J.Gatling)が1861年に考案した機関銃。手動のハンドルで6本の銃身を回転させながら連続発射ができる。明治元年(1868)の戊辰 (ぼしん) 戦争で、越後(新潟県)長岡藩がこの銃を使って官軍を悩ませた。
