Ostia Antica Ostia Antica is an ancient Roman urban ruin in the southwestern suburb of Rome, the capital of Italy. Construction as a colonial city in the 4th century BC. It flourishes as the mouth of the Tiber River, a trade port facing the Tyrrhenian Sea, with the largest population exceeding 100,000 people. In the 3rd and 4th centuries, it declined with sediment deposition and construction of the new port in another location. It is now open as an archaeological park, and there are ruins such as the Temple of Capitol, the theater of the Outdoor theaters, the Baths of the Seven Sages. オスティア‐アンティカ【Ostia Antica】 イタリアの首都ローマ南西郊にある古代ローマ時代の都市遺跡。紀元前4世紀に植民都市として建設。テベレ川の河口部、ティレニア海に面する貿易港として栄え、最大時の人口は10万人を超えたとされる。3、4世紀頃、土砂の堆積や別の場所での新港建設に伴い衰退した。現在は遺跡公園として公開されており、カピトリウム神殿、野外劇場、七賢人の浴場などの遺跡がある。
