Serdica 【Serdica / Сердика】 The old name of Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria. It is thought that the name comes from ancient Thracian tribe Celdie. It was conquered by ancient Rome in the 1st century BC, and there are ruins of the castle walls and the castle gate at the time. In the early nineteenth century became part of the first Bulgarian empire, it came to be called Threadets. セルディカ【Serdica/Сердика】 ブルガリアの首都ソフィアの古称。名称は古代のトラキア人の部族セルディに由来すると考えられる。紀元前1世紀に古代ローマに征服され、当時の城壁や城門の遺跡がある。9世紀初頭に第一次ブルガリア帝国の一部となり、スレデツと呼ばれるようになった。
