じ ゃ い っ え い じ influenza 【Attenuated avian influenza】 Of the H5 type and H7 type avian influenza, infected birds have low mortality rate. The Livestock Infectious Disease Prevention Law calls the low pathogenic influenza since the revision of the law in April 2011 (2011). [Supplement] In the Livestock Infectious Disease Prevention Law before revision, all H5 and H7 avian influenza viruses were highly pathogenic, and were classified as strongly toxic and attenuated according to the mortality rate. For those of low pathogenicity other than H5 type and H7 type, the classification name of "avian influenza" is used. じゃくどくせい‐とりインフルエンザ【弱毒性鳥インフルエンザ】 H5型、H7型の鳥インフルエンザのうち、感染した鳥の致死率が低いもの。家畜伝染病予防法では、平成23年(2011)4月の法改正以降、低病原性インフルエンザと呼んでいる。
[補説]改正前の家畜伝染病予防法では、H5型・H7型のすべての鳥インフルエンザウイルスを高病原性とし、致死率の高低によって強毒性・弱毒性と呼び分けていた。H5型・H7型以外の低病原性のものには「鳥インフルエンザ」の分類名が用いられている。
