Sozopol (Bulgarian: Созопол, Sozopol) is an ancient city located in the southeastern part of Bulgaria, the Black Coast, or a contemporary town of the same name, and a basic municipality centered on it. It is located approximately 30 kilometers south of Burgas. Contemporary Sozopol is a coastal resort site known mainly for Apollonia art and film festival (to be held in September) and was named after former ancient city Sozopol.
