Uwadan 【Ouadane】 It is a town in the northwestern part of Mauritania. From the 12th century to the 16th century, it flourished as a key haven for trade in Sahara. The remains of the Old Town called Ksarr, where the houses were arranged to surround the central mosque, remains. In 1996, it was registered as a World Heritage (cultural heritage) under the name of "Old village of Uwadan, Shin Getty, Tishit and Uwarata" together with other relay cities. Ou Dang.
