Aromatic amine poisoning An aromatic amine is a generic term for compounds in which at least one hydrogen atom of an aromatic hydrocarbon is substituted with an amino group. And is widely used as an intermediate for the production of dyes and pigments. The main symptoms of addiction are methemoglobinemia and carcinogenesis. Bladder cancer caused by benzidine, β-naphthylamine, and 4-aminodiphenyl is well known and accounts for half of Japanese occupational cancer, but these substances are currently prohibited to manufacture and use. Methemoglobinemia is a trivalent hemoglobin iron at the 2-valence, the oxygen transport function disappears, and the body becomes oxygen deficient. 방향족아민중독 방향족 아민은 방향족 탄화수소의 수소원자 1개 이상이 아미노기로 치환된 화합물의 총칭이다. 염료ㆍ색소제조의 중간체등으로서 널리 이용되고 있다. 중독의 주된 증상은 메트헤모글로빈혈증과 발암이다. 특히 벤지딘, β-나프틸아민, 4-아미노디페닐에 의한 방광암은 유명하며, 일본 직업암의 반수를 차지하고 있으나, 현재 이들 물질은 제조ㆍ사용이 금지되어 있다. 메트헤모그로빈 혈증은 헤모글로빈철이 2가에서 3가가 되며 산소운반작용이 소실하고, 생체는 산소결핍 상태가 된다.
