The trunk of the budgerigar is plump and the tail ends somewhat bluntly. The fins are about 60 to 65% of the length of the trunk and are rhombic. Tofu, arms, and especially tentacles are widely spread. The sucker at the center of the tentacles is very large and sometimes twice as big as the largest sucker in the third arm. The sucker in the third arm has seven to eight large, truncated teeth. There are no suckers and protrusions on the contacted parts. It grows up to 25cm. It lives in the shallow part of the coast. It is distributed in South Korea and Japan. Mating and scattering occur mainly from summer to early fall. Seasonal recall for spawning. 부도창꼴뚜기 몸통은 통통하며, 후미부는 다소 뭉툭하게 끝난다. 지느러미는 몸통길이의 60~65% 정도이며, 마름모형이다. 두부, 팔, 특히 촉수가 넓게 확장되어 있다. 촉수주먹의 중앙에 있는 흡반은 매우 크며 3번째 팔에 있는 가장 큰 흡반의 직경보다 2배 이상 클 때도 있다. 3번째 팔에 있는 흡반에는 7~8개의 크고 끝을 자른 형태의 이빨이 나있다. 교접기화된 부위에는 흡반이 없고 돌기가 나 있다. 최대 외투장 25cm까지 성장한다.연안의 얕은 곳에 서식한다. 한국 남부, 일본 등에 분포한다. 주로 여름에서 초가을에 걸쳐 교미와 산란이 이루어진다. 산란을 위한 계절적 회유를 한다.
