Cholestasis is a special form of hepatitis hepatitis, also called hepatotrophic hepatitis. There is a lot of bullous feeling and jaundice, but prognosis is good. It is necessary to differentiate it from occlusive jaundice. The changes of GOT and GPT are less than those of serum alkaline phosphatase, which is remarkably elevated in test specimens. Causes include viral and drug-induced disorders (allergic, due to anabolic steroids).

담즙울혈성간염 간염의 특수한 형태(型)로, 담세관염성 간염이라고도 한다. 간내의 모세담관의 장애에 의하여 일어나며, 담즙의 유출장애때문에 황달, 식욕부진 등을 일으키나, 간세포의 장애는 경하다. 소양감이 심하고 황달도 심하게 나타나는 일이 많으나 예후는 양호하다. 간외폐색성황달과의 감별이 필요하게 된다. 검사소견에서는 혈청알카리포스파타제 등 담도계효소의 상승이 현저한 것에 비하여, GOT, GPT의 변화가 적다. 원인으로서는 바이러스성, 약물성간장애(알러지성, 단백동화스테로이드에 의한 것)등이 있다.
