Nursing Officers In August 1948, just after the establishment of the government, it was established as 31 nurses recruited from private nurses in general hospitals. Until 1958, a group of students with academic backgrounds of three years or more was recruited. After completion of the two-year course, the nurse practitioner of the school was admitted to the so-called nurse. In 1967, he became a regular nursing school in the Army Medical Center. In 1971, he became an army nursing school. In 1980, he was promoted to the National Army Nursing Academy. 간호장교단 정부수립 직후인 1948년 8월에 민간종합병원 간호사중에서 모집한 31명의 간호사로 창설하였으며, 처음으로 일선 부상병을 직접 간호하게 된 것은 여수, 순천 사건 때였다. 1958년까지는 여학교 3년이상 학력을 가진자를 모집하여 군의학교 간호사관생도 2년과정을 수료한 후 간호사 검정고시를 거쳐 소위로 임관하였다. 그후 육군의료원내에 정규 간호학교과정으로(1967년), 국군간호학교로 개칭(1971년), 마침내 1980년 국군간호사관학교로 승격되었다.
