Acute polyneuropathy is a peripheral neuropathy of the limbs that is completed in weeks to months and is almost symmetrically invaded by the superior extremity. Most of the sensory and motor nerves are involved, resulting in hand gloves of the distal limb, perineal discomfort of the sock type, muscle atrophy, muscle weakness, diminished reflexes or loss of deepness. Sometimes it affects the nervous system and the trunk. It is caused by poisoning, acute febrile disease, metabolic disease, vitamin deficiency, collagen disease, malignant tumor, etc. Therapy is also important in conjunction with causal therapy. 급성다발신경염 수주일에서 수개월에 완성하고 거의 대칭적으로 대부분은 하지우위에 침범되는 사지의 말초신경장애이다. 대부분 지각 및 운동신경이 함께 침범되고 사지원위부의 손장갑, 양말형의 지각장애 및 근위축, 근력저하, 심부반사저하 내지 소실을 가져온다. 때로는 뇌신경, 체간에 미치는 수도 있다 원인으로서 중독, 급성 열성질환, 대사성질환, 비타민결핍, 교원병, 악성종양 등에 수반할 경우와 원인불명의 경우가 있다. 치료는 원인요법과 함께 이학요법도 중요하다.
