Glomus tumor is a relatively benign tumor that occurs in the glomus cutareum, a special organ of the anastomotic site of the skin, especially the skin of the fingertip. It is characterized by intense pain that occurs in most ancestral areas (nail bed area) and radiates from the locus. Pain increases especially at night or at cold temperatures. When an ancestral part is present, a palpable tumor of the size of a grain of rice can be observed from the outside of the fingernail, and when the fingers are lightly pressed with a pin, it complains of severe pain such as trigeminal neuralgia. Once convinced, the pain relieves with the removal of the tumor, and there is no recurrence. 글로무스종양 피부 특히 손가락 끝부위 피부의 동정맥문 합부의 특수기관인 glomus cutareum에 원발하는 양성 종양이고 비교적 드문 질환이다. 대부분 조상부(爪床部)에 발생하고 국소에서 방사하는 격렬한 동통이 특징이다. 특히 야간이나 한랭시에 통증은 증가한다. 조상부에 발생할 경우에는 쌀알 크기로 담자색의 종양을 손톱 바깥쪽에서 관찰할 수 있고 국소를 핀으로 가볍게 압박을 가하면 삼차신경통과 같은 심한 통증을 호소한다. 확신을 얻으면 종양의 적출로 동통은 확실하게 사라지고 재발도 없다.
