Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia), and the like, especially, the kidney transplantation, leukemia, such as those who use immunosuppressants in large amounts are often noted. 기생충성폐질환 기생충에 의해서 생기는 폐질환이고 가장 많은 것이 폐디스토마가 기생함으로써 생기는 폐흡충증이다. 제2중간 숙주로 되고 있는 동남참게, 물맞이게 등을 먹거나 조리를 하거나 함으로써 경구적으로 들어가 장, 복강, 횡격막을 거쳐서 폐로 침입해 기생한다. 이밖에 폐톡소플라스마증, 뉴모시스티스ㆍ카리니 폐렴(Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia)등이 있고, 특히 후자는 신장이식, 백혈병처럼 다량으로 면역억제제를 사용하는 자에게 자주 발생해 주목되고 있다.
