This is a disease in which the insulin antibody produced by autoimmunity is proved in the blood (blood) even though it is not injected with insulin. 인슐린항체 인슐린치료를 적어도 3개월 받은 당뇨병 환자에게 13II-인슐린을 정주(靜注)하면 인슐린 치료를 받지 않은 환자에 비해서 매우 지연된다는 사실이 보고되었다. 또한 이와 같은 환자의 혈청 γ-글로불린 분획(分劃)은 높은13II-인슐린의 결합을 나타낸다는 사실이 밝혀져, 인슐린항체의 존재가 증명되었다. 인슐린항체의 인슐린저항성당뇨병(抵抗性糖尿病)의 한가지 원인으로 중시되고 있다. 그리고 인슐린주사력(自發性低血糖)을 주소(主訴)로 하는 질환으로 인슐린자가면역증후군(自家免疫症候群)이 있다. 이것은 인슐린주사를 맞지 않았는데도 자가 면역에 의하여 생긴 인슐린항체가 혈중(血中)에 증명되는 질환이다.
