An enemy gallon wolf spider is a wandering spider that searches for prey without spider webs. It can be seen from May to October. The size of female is 12 ~ 14㎜, male is about 10 ~ 12㎜. It lives in the cracked soil and the hole of the rice field which there is around the farmland, They walk on the ground and eat small insects. It is a dark reddish brown from head to breast and legs. It is also known as a red wolf spider (Nam Gung Joon, 2001). 적갈논늑대거미 거미줄을 치지 않고 먹이를 찾아 다니는 배회성(徘徊性)거미로 5~10월에 볼 수 있다. 크기는 암컷 12~14㎜, 수컷 10~12㎜ 정도이다. 농경지 주변 풀밭, 풀이 많은 논둑의 갈라진 토양이나 구멍 등에 산다. 땅 위를 돌아다니며 작은 곤충을 잡아먹는다. 머리가슴부터 배와 다리까지 짙은 적갈색이다. 적갈늑대거미라고도 한다(남궁준, 2001).
