Langerhans cell antibody Langerhans cell antibody has been reported by Bottazzo et al. In 1974 and has been noted as a marker of type I (insulin dependent) diabetes, suggesting that it is present in a high rate (about 50%) in patients with newly diagnosed insulin dependent diabetes mellitus. This antibody is common to the cytoplasm of all the cells of Langerhans islets. It is considered that there are now two types of antibodies, IgG and complementary antibodies. In addition, HLA type is more common in patients with B-8. It is present at high rates in white people, especially in multinodular diseases, and it has become a basis for diabetes mellitus in patients with autoimmunity. Currently, the detection rate is very low for blacks and Japanese (about 10% of type I), and the relationship with diabetes is unknown. 랑게르한스섬세포항체 랑게르한스섬 세포항체는 1974년 Bottazzo 등에 의해서 보고된 것으로 인슐린 의존형의 신발견 당뇨병환자에 고율(약 50%)로 존재한다고 하며, 타입 I 형(인슐린의존형) 당뇨병의 마커로서 주목되었다. 이 항체는 랑게르한스섬의 모든 세포의 세포질에 공통하는 항체이며 현재는 IgG형과 보체결합성항체의 2종류가 있다고 고려된다. 또한 HLA형은 B–8의 환자에 많다고 한다. 백인에서는 고율로 존재하며 특히 다내분비선질환에 많으며 당뇨병이 자기면역의 환자에게는 없을 것이라는 한 근거가 되기도 하였다. 현재 흑인이나 일본인(타입I형의 약 10%)에게는 대단히 발견률이 낮으며, 당뇨병과의 관계는 불명하다.
